FALSE ADVERTISING

More and more Churches nowadays are falsely advertising who the Lord Jesus is, and are they themselves are mostly deceived about who He is. How this comes about is both SUBTLE and OBVIOUS, both HIDDEN and REVEALED. For those that want to see the reality of what is now taking place, the Lord will reveal it, but for those that are happy with a Church that is really a Church run by men instead of the Spirit, they not only won't see it, but they won't believe it was wrong even if they were to see it, because the Jesus that has been presented by the Church has been falsely advertised.

How has this false advertising taken place? It's happened because... despite what we're ASKED, He is not greedy for money, like men, but greedy for men's hearts. Despite what we SEE, He is not desirous for His bride to dress themselves in as much EXTRA-CURRICULAR 'ACTIVITIES' and fancy technological 'stuff' as possible, He is after men's fellowship.
Despite what we HEAR, He is not desirous that His Word be propaganda in the hands of men who only choose to use what they want to preach, according to their own desires for their own kingdoms, he is desirous that men KNOW HIM ACCORDING TO THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. Despite what we SING, He is not after a people who are infatuated with themselves and their desires, He is desirous that we would SEE JESUS (John 12v21). Despite what we believe, He is not a God defined by a single doctrine, but a God who is DEFINED BY THE REVELATION OF THE WHOLE WORD OF GOD (2 Tim 3v16). Despite what we've been LED TO BELIEVE, the Christian walk is a walk of faith, not sight, trouble and trial, not ease, and not instant gratification but sufficient grace and solid hope for the future.

One good, long, honest glance at the Word should be enough to reveal these things. One good, long, honest read of a book in the Bible should cement the truth of this reality. One good, long, honest look at the superficiality that is more and more taking over pulpits and places of worship should act as a blaring trumpet to wake us up. If we are not CHECKING ALL THINGS BY THE WORD, we must ask ourselves why not. What desires are motivating us to follow Jesus? Are they scriptural? Or are they human? Are we being motivated by what we can gain, and what we may lose, or are we motivated by our love for the Lord over all things? We must shake ourselves awake, if not, Jesus Himself has promised to 'shake those things that can be shaken.' His Kingdom is an unshakable Kingdom, so you know that if a shaking comes that causes you to flee from Christ, the BUILDING that has been going on, hasn't been OF HIM.

  1. Heb 12v26: At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”[e] 27 The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken —that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”
